Teresa M. Bode was introduced to Tax Controversy work as a Legal Intern working in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). During her time in the LITC she was awarded the University of Idaho College of Law Spirit of the Clinic Award and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award acknowledging her outstanding contribution and achievement. After graduating from the University of Idaho, Teresa has dedicated her legal carrier to defending taxpayers in dispute with the Internal Revenue Service and other tax agencies.
Teresa’s work experience has afforded her the opportunity to work with prior IRS senior legal counsel and attorneys with years of practice. This has given her valuable experience working on high stakes tax litigation cases and appeals. In one such case, she was granted a full government concession in excise fuel tax credits.
Teresa genuinely values the relationship between attorney and client. She works hard to align case strategies with the goals of each individual. Teresa believes, understanding the law and procedure will make you a good attorney; however, being a great attorney is about dedication, follow through, and quality communication with clients. Teresa Bode has worked tirelessly to include these values in her practice.
