Nii Amaa Ollennu Selected To Attend Texas Criminal Trial College

The 41st Annual Tim Evans Texas Criminal Trial College will take place at the Sam Houston State University Criminal Justice Center from March 26th to 31st, and McKinney Criminal Defense Attorney Nii-Amaa Ollennu has been selected to attend. The course is sponsored by the Criminal Defense Lawyers Project, which is funded by the Judicial and Court Personnel Training Fund administered by the Court of Criminal Appeals.

Often considered the best trial college in the state, the programs, courses, and demanding exercises are offered to no more than 80 students and legal professionals from around the state. Having a member of our firm selected to participate in this intensive course is a great honor, and Nii Amaa has gratefully accepted this honor to participate and celebrate the annual tradition for attorneys statewide.

Preparation for the college will begin a week prior to March 26th, when participants will be given materials simulating a case file, including police reports and witness statements to prepare for the mock trial exercises. The mock trial truly embodies the essence of a real-world trial by giving the attendees a platform to display their skills and knowledge throughout the trial process, from selecting juries, cross examining witnesses, and making arguments. During his time at the college, Attorney Ollennu’s trial capabilities will not only be supervised, but his video performance will also critiqued by highly respected legal practitioners legal from around the state.
